Admin & settings
Manage user permissions and roles
Everyone who signs in to your organization is a staff user with a role, and the role decides what they can reach. NestPoint keeps this simple: three roles that fit how a small team actually works, with room to fine-tune the details when you need to. This is an admin task, and it all lives in one place.
The three roles
In Organization settings, open Users & access to see everyone with a sign-in. Each person holds one of three roles. Front Desk covers daily check-in and desk work. Manager adds the operational running of the place without full ownership. Admin has the run of your organization — settings, billing, and every capability. These roles are fixed; you assign one to each person rather than inventing new ones.
Add someone to your team
Choose Add user and pick how they'll sign in. Invite by email sends a claim link to their address — good for staff who have email. Create sign-in sets up a username-and-password account on the spot, which is handy for a shared front desk where not everyone has a work email. Either way, you choose their role as you add them.
Fine-tune what a role can do
The roles come with sensible defaults, but you can adjust them. In the Staff roles & permissions section, each capability — running check-in, creating members, issuing refunds — can be switched on or off for the Front Desk and Manager roles. Admins always have everything, so there's nothing to toggle there. Changing a permission for a role changes it for everyone who holds that role.
Change a role or remove access
To move someone up or down, change their role right on their row in Users & access — promoting someone to Admin asks you to confirm, since it hands over full authority. When a person leaves, choose Disable to cut off their access without erasing their history; Enable brings them back if they return.
