Export your data to CSV

Your data is yours, and NestPoint gives you a way to take it with you. From one place you can download your core records as CSV files — for a backup, for your own reporting, or to move to another system. What comes out is built to go back in, so nothing gets stranded in a format you can't use.

Where the exports live

Open Organization settings and go to Imports and data. This is the same place you'd bring records in; the Export side sits right alongside it, so importing and exporting stay together.

What you can export

You can download four record types, each as its own CSV: Members, Households, Relationships, and Member tiers. Together these cover who your people are, how they're grouped into households, how they relate to one another, and the access levels they're assigned to.

  1. In Imports and data, find the Export list.

  2. Choose Download CSV next to the record type you want.

Each type downloads on its own, so grab just the one you need or work down the list for a full set.

  3. Open the file in your spreadsheet tool, or keep it as your backup.

Made to go back in

The columns you get back line up with what NestPoint expects on import. That means an export can serve as a working backup you could restore from, or as the starting point for a bulk update — export, edit in a spreadsheet, and bring the file back through Imports and data. You're not locked into a shape only NestPoint can read.
