Register a member for a class

Signing a member up for a class takes a moment at the front desk. You start from the session, add the member, and — if there's a fee — record payment as a quick separate step.

Register the member

  1. Open the Activities planner and open the session you're registering for.

  2. On the People tab, choose Add registration.

  3. Search for the member by name and pick them.

The search shows details like email and badge so you land on the right person.

  4. Adjust the amount due if you need to, add an optional note, and confirm Add registration.

The fee is prefilled from the class — lower it for a scholarship or leave it as it stands.

If the class is full

When a session is at capacity and its waitlist is on, the member joins as Waitlisted with a position number instead of Confirmed. If someone later cancels, the person at the top of the waitlist moves up on their own — you don't have to reshuffle. If the waitlist is off, you'll simply be told the session is full. A manager with the right permission can force-add over capacity when they need to.

Taking payment

Registering sets what's owed but doesn't collect it, so a member starts as Unpaid. To take payment, open the Payments tab, find them, and choose Record payment — cash, check, card, or a terminal reader. To skip a fee entirely, record it as Waived.

Marking attendance

Registered and attended aren't the same thing. On the day, use the Check-in tab to mark each person Attended or No-show. Registering ahead of time just holds their spot.
