Getting started
Set up payment processing with Stripe
If you collect money — activity fees, rentals, trip payments — connect Stripe once and members can pay online right from the portal. The money lands in your own Stripe account, not NestPoint's: you keep 100% of portal payments, and NestPoint takes nothing on them.
What connecting Stripe does
It turns on online payment across the portal — members can pay for rentals, trips, and activities without you handling a card. Charges route straight to your Stripe balance, and you manage payouts and receipts from your own Stripe dashboard, just like any Stripe business. NestPoint simply asks Stripe to charge the right amount and records that it was paid.
Connect your account
Open Organization settings and go to Online payments.
It sits alongside your plan and billing settings. If you don't see it, you'll need an Admin to connect Stripe.
Choose Set up Stripe.
NestPoint hands you off to Stripe's own secure pages. You enter your organization's details there, never in NestPoint.
Complete Stripe's onboarding, then land back in NestPoint.
Stripe walks you through business, bank, and identity details. When you finish, it returns you to the Online payments page with your status shown.
Getting ready to take payments
Online payments only start collecting once Stripe marks your account ready. The Online payments page mirrors that status so you always know where you stand.
- Setup unfinished
- You started with Stripe but didn't finish. Choose Continue setup to pick up where you left off.
- Stripe needs more information
- Usually identity or bank verification. Choose Continue setup and Stripe asks you for exactly what it still needs.
- Taking payments
- You're ready. Card payments and Payouts to your bank both read On, and members can pay online.
Taking card payments in person
Collect at the desk too? Once Stripe is connected, you can pair a Stripe Terminal card reader from this same page, so in-person card payments flow through the same account as online ones.
