Payment failed: common reasons and fixes
A failed payment is almost always one of a few things. The quickest way to sort it out is to notice whether it's one member who can't pay or everyone — that alone points you at the fix.
If one member can't pay but others can
The trouble is with that payment, not your setup.
- The card was declined
- Their bank turned it down — for funds, a fraud hold, or a wrong number. NestPoint can't override a bank, so ask them to try another card or check with their bank. Nothing is charged when a card is declined.
- The payment page expired
- A checkout page left open too long times out for safety. Have them start the payment again from the portal — a fresh page opens and goes through normally.
If no one can pay
That points at your Stripe connection rather than any one card. Open Workspace management → Online payments and check the status. If it reads Pending or Restricted instead of Active, onboarding isn't finished and payments won't collect until it is — pick up where you left off using Set up payment processing with Stripe.
If it worked a minute ago and now doesn't
Now and then Stripe is briefly unreachable and you'll see a "temporarily unavailable" message. Wait a moment and try again. Nothing is charged twice by retrying — an incomplete payment simply doesn't count.
