Send a group communication

To reach a group by email — a class roster, all active members, everyone who hasn't visited lately — you build the audience, write the message, send yourself a test, then send. One thing to know up front: you target people by their traits, not by picking a group off a list.

Start a new message

Open Engagement and choose New plan, then the one-off message option. NestPoint calls each send a “plan”; this one simply goes out once. Sending is a permissioned action, so if you don't see New plan, an admin can grant it to your role.

Choose who gets it

Pick a Saved audience you've built before, or Build one on the spot with conditions — active members, a membership tier, people not seen in 30 days, and so on. As you set it, a live recipient count shows how many people it will reach.

Write the message

Give it an internal plan name — only staff see that — then a Subject and Body. Insert merge fields from the sidebar so each message feels personal: {{ member_first_name }} greets each person by name, and {{ workspace_name }} signs it. If you'll reuse this wording, save it first as a Create a message template.

Send yourself a test first

Before you can send for real, NestPoint asks you to Send test to one address so you can see exactly how it looks. Once the test lands, the live send unlocks — it's a small step that catches a wrong merge field or a typo before everyone sees it.

Send now or schedule

Choose Send now, or Schedule for… a date and time in your workspace's time zone. Either way, the recipient list is frozen the moment it goes out, so a later change to your audience won't sneak in. You'll confirm on a short review that shows the recipient count and reminds you it can't be pulled back once it's on its way.
