Recovering from accidental deletions

Take a breath — in NestPoint, most things you can “delete” aren't actually thrown away. They're archived, which hides them from your everyday views while keeping the full record intact. The trick to recovering is knowing which kind of action you took.

Members are archived, not deleted

There's no “delete member” in NestPoint. The action is Archive, and the confirmation says it plainly: it hides the person from active rosters but keeps them in the workspace, ready to come back any time. So an archived member is never lost — they're just out of the way.

  1. Open the Members list.

  2. Switch the status filter to show inactive members.

Archived members don't appear in the default active view, so this is the step people miss.

  3. Open the person, then choose Reactivate.

They return to your active rosters and pickers with their history intact.

An undone check-in isn't gone either

When you undo a check-in, NestPoint voids it rather than erasing it — it stops counting toward attendance but stays on the record. If you undid one by mistake, just check the member in again. There's more in Undo a check-in.

When something really can't be brought back

A few things end in a final state rather than an archive — a cancelled booking or a cancelled campaign, for instance. There's no “un-cancel” button; you recreate them. Before you do, the audit log shows exactly what was there — who set it up, when, and the details — so you can rebuild it accurately instead of from memory.
