Check people in and out
When someone is serving right now, you can start a live timer instead of logging after the fact. They stay under Currently serving on the dashboard until you check them out. If a check-in is left open too long, the dashboard flags it so you can close it.
Check someone in
On the Today dashboard, press Start serving.
Search for the Person and pick a Role. Add Notes if you'd like.
If the person has a default role that allows timing, it's picked for you.
Press Start serving.
Check them out
The person shows under Currently serving with a running clock. When they finish, press Check out on their row. The entry closes and the duration is computed with your rounding rule.
Close an open check-in
If a check-in runs past the threshold with no check-out, it appears under Missing check-outs. Press Resolve and pick what matches what happened.
- Set the check-out time
- You know when they finished. Enter that time and the duration is worked out from it.
- Enter how long they served
- You know roughly how long they served but not when they stopped. The entry keeps the length and drops the start and end times.
- Void these hours
- Nothing really happened, such as a false start. The row stays in the history but is left out of every total.
