Add drivers and vehicles

Before you can dispatch a ride, Dispatch needs someone to drive and something to drive. You add both on the Resources page, on its Drivers and Vehicles tabs.

Add a driver

1. On Resources, open the Drivers tab and press Add driver.

2. Enter a Name and pick a Kind — Staff, Volunteer, or Vendor.

3. Add a Phone, Email, and any Notes, then press Add driver.

   You'll see Driver added. Flip a driver to inactive later to take them out of assignment without losing their history.

Add a vehicle

1. Open the Vehicles tab and press Add vehicle.

2. Give it a Name, a Type, and a Capacity — the total passenger seats.

3. Set the Wheelchair capacity if any — 0 if none, and it can't exceed the total capacity.

   Dispatch uses these numbers to warn you when a ride's passengers or wheelchair needs exceed the vehicle.
