Assign drivers and dispatch rides

Dispatch is where the day comes together. Rides sit in lanes by status, and you assign each one a driver and vehicle. A conflict check catches double-bookings and capacity problems before they go out.

Read the lanes

The Dispatch board opens on a date, with rides grouped into lanes: Unassigned, Scheduled, Confirmed, In progress, and Completed, and Cancelled / No-show / Denied. Filter by driver, vehicle, run, or status, or turn on Unassigned only to see what still needs a driver.

Assign a driver and vehicle

  1. On a ride, press Assign driver, or use the row menu to Assign vehicle.

  2. Pick a driver or vehicle. The dialog previews any conflicts as you choose, and reads No conflicts detected. when it's clear.

Vehicles show their seats and wheelchair spots, like Van One (cap 4, ♿ 2), so you can match the ride's needs.

  3. Press Assign.

When there's a conflict

The check flags overlaps, capacity and wheelchair limits, times that don't work, and drivers or vehicles that aren't available. A warning lets you carry on. A blocking conflict needs an Override reason (required), which is saved with the ride. If you don't have permission to override, you'll see You do not have permission to assign past a blocking conflict.
