Set activity and sign-up defaults

The Settings page holds the defaults that apply across the whole module: the fallback start time and duration, how far ahead a repeating schedule puts sessions on the planner, and the sign-up rules new activities start with.

Open Settings

On Activities, open the Settings tab. The page reads Defaults that apply to every activity and session. and shows a setup summary up top, then three cards you can open.

Session defaults

Sets the Default duration (minutes) and Default start time that pre-fill new activity and one-off session forms. An activity's own defaults win over these, and nothing already scheduled changes. Open the card, adjust, and press Save changes.

Recurring schedules

Weeks ahead controls how far out a repeating schedule puts sessions on the planner. Changing it never deletes or moves sessions that are already there. The new number takes effect the next time sessions are added.

Sign-up defaults

The registration rules applied to new activities: Default capacity, Default fee, Currency, Self-cancel cutoff (hours), whether to allow a waitlist, and whether portal sign-ups need staff approval. Changing these doesn't touch activities you've already made; each keeps its own settings.
