Set activity and sign-up defaults

The Settings page holds the defaults that apply across the whole module — the fallback start time and duration, how far ahead recurring sessions generate, and the sign-up rules new activities start with.

Open Settings

On Activities, open the Settings tab. The page reads Defaults that apply to every activity and session. and shows a setup summary up top, then three cards you can open.

Session defaults

Sets the Default session duration (minutes) and Default start time that pre-fill new activity and one-off session forms. Open the card, adjust, and press Save changes.

Recurring generation

Weeks ahead controls how far out a recurring series creates sessions when someone regenerates it. Existing sessions aren't regenerated — only upcoming ones within the horizon.

Sign-up defaults

The registration rules applied to new activities — Enable sign-ups, Default capacity, Default fee (cents), Currency, Allow waitlist, and portal approval. Changing these doesn't touch activities you've already made; each keeps its own settings.
