Set up Meals

Settings is where you shape how Meals behaves across the workspace — the defaults new meals inherit, the meal types and dietary tags you tag with, pricing and eligibility, and what members can do from the portal. You set it once, and every meal follows suit.

Open Settings

Open Settings from the module nav. A stat strip across the top shows the current state — the member portal, self-service kiosk, meal types, and pricing policies — and each area below is a card you open to edit.

Defaults and operational tuning

Defaults

The signup deadline, default signup and guest policies, and default kitchen roles that new meals inherit.

Operational tuning

What happens when a meal is full, the no-show grace window, waitlist auto-promotion, and the duplicate and undo windows for the kiosk.

Four lists shape what you can pick elsewhere. Add and edit them here:

Meal types

The categories a meal belongs to, like lunch or supper.

Dietary tags

Preferences, restrictions, and allergens you tag menu items and options with.

Pricing policies

The fee structures a meal can use.

Eligibility rules

The rules that limit who can sign up.

Member portal and kiosk

The Member signups & Portal card controls what members can do on their own — self-signup, editing their dietary notes, self-cancel and its window, and which confirmation emails send. The Kiosk card controls the self-service serving screen.

Cross-module integrations

Auto-spawn kitchen shifts

Creates kitchen shifts automatically when a meal is created, which Service Hours then staffs.

Propagate Activity registrations

Turns a member's Activity registration into a meal signup where the two connect.

Reference cards
