Set up a bookable resource

A resource is anything people can book — a hall, a projector, a van. You build it once in a short wizard that covers what it is, when it's open, what it costs, and who can book it.

Start the wizard

On Resources, press to add a resource. The wizard opens on Basics and walks through five steps.

Basics

Give the resource a Name and pick a KindRoom, Equipment, or Other. Add a Color, a Capacity, and any Notes the team should see.

Booking & availability

  1. Under Open days & hours, turn on each day the resource can be booked and set the Available start time and Available end time.

Closed days won't show on the planner, so people can't book them.

  2. Set the Booking increment and a Minimum booking length (with an optional Maximum booking length).

  3. Add a Lead time required and Maximum lead days to control how soon and how far ahead people can book.

  4. Use Setup buffer and Cleanup buffer to hold prep and reset time around each booking.

Pricing

Add the prices that apply. Press + Add pricing rule, choose a kind, and set the Amount with an optional Label. You can mix kinds — for example an hourly rate plus a deposit.

Per hour
Charged for each hour booked.
Flat per booking
A single charge, however long the booking runs.
Per day
A daily rate for longer holds.
Deposit (refundable)
An upfront hold you can return afterward.
Custom quote required
Staff set the price by hand on each booking.

Access

Choose who can see, request, and instantly book the resource. Visibility ranges from Staff only to Public visitors (no sign-in required), and separate settings control Who can request? and Who can book instantly?

Review and create

The last step shows what staff, portal members, and the public each see. Press Create resource and you'll see Resource "{name}" created.
